Night Market
We checked out the Temple street night-markets this evening. Not much worth buying here, but the street food is another story. Every corner seems to have someone frying up delicious bites of mysterious looking things. We walked around behind the street vendors and came upon something that can't really be called a restaurant, more of an alleyway with cheap tables and plastic chairs. Someone was clearly preparing food for the local workers and serving beer as well. We got two orders of claypot rice with sausage and two of the largest bottles of beer I've ever seen. The food was amazing and getting to experience a little bit of real local culture was priceless.

I'm so glad you are trying out the local spots and not just the touristy places. Jane
